After my Oil man mentioned my 70 year old 220 Gal. Tank was on it's way out I got a few estimates and learned of the options out there. Jay at Tanks a lot was knowledgeable, the estimate was accurate without b/s and surprises. My Tank was not a common size, install and space was a bit of an issue. The crew was quick, clean and done. The Fire Marshall later came out and approved the work with out issue. My Oil Man of 20 years also approved the work as well. I should not have any more "Tank" issues in my lifetime I surely hope, but the owner and staff made this choice a good one. Thank you Stephen P.

We had an oil tank and burner removed from a walkout basement. They did a great job and left everything in good order. The only issue was getting a confirmed appointment and a return call. When we called to see if they forgot us, we gave them our deadline. This prompted a confirmed dated and they arrived as promised. Thank you

Fortunately enough Tanks A Lot came out quickly!!! I called numerous other company’s that never showed! let’s say these guys are superb and super efficient the clean up was spectacular! 2 old leaking oil tanks! Tanks A a lot did a Superior job in removing two old Oil Tanks from my crawl space!!!! The crew of Two guys took self pride in there work and there day to day challenges came at ease! Solid company, quick turnaround. I wasn't in a rush but they were able to come out and replace my oil tank pretty quickly. I was a little concerned about the lack of communication beforehand, I had to call them a couple times to confirm they were coming because they didn't even take down my address when I made the appointment. During these calls, I also confirmed the rate they would charge me. However, it was very different from what they tried to charge me after the work was complete. My advice, get a written quote BEFORE any work is done. They will seriously try to up charge you. That being said, the guys who came were polite and did a great job.

The crew of 2 showed up after 3 men from the same business said it was not a easy job!!! We have white carpets and brand new floors with no entrance to the basement!!! Gene and Sunny reassured me that it was a straight forward job. They had protective plastic for the floors and the 2 we’re in and out in about 25 minutes, no problems. no scratches!!! Most importantly no oil on my white carpet!!! If you have a difficult job Ask the owner for the 2 young guys that Know what they are doing! Old tank removed and new tank installed today. The installation was quick and basement was left clean. The install team was excellent! Highly recommend them.

I contacted 4-5 companies to remove a old oil tank from inside a finished basement area in tight space and install a new Roth outdoor tank in another tight area. Jay Holmes provided a very fair price in relation to other prices, he called me right away and showed up for quote. Other companies called me weeks later after i already gave me the job? so much for smart sales people at the other companies. I having dealt with other similar companies in the past; I looked at the reviews for Tanks a lot first as I was hesitant to get a big dirty mess going inside my finished basement. I liked what people said about them. I expected a dirty greasy truck to show with guys in greasy uniforms or clothes, dripping grease on floors etc... Well; I was more than impressed. The truck showed up spot clean; guys had all equipment ready, put plastic wrap on floors, pumped out my oil, installed new tank, re filled my oil in new tank, carried out old tank without touching a grease print anywhere. The three guys all nice guys and had process down to science. Wow; I would never hire anyone else again except this company for this type of work. The company even had the town permit way in advance ready which in itself was impressive during the COVID town work schedules. Great job and great tank vertical Roth double tank vs. old steel tank 55 years old waiting for a leak and EPA clean up site or unexpected mess. I consider myself very neat and particular how things are done and they did everything right and under 2 hours ??? Call Jay Holmes the owner first before another contractor.

I called them this morning and they had an opening and came as scheduled. They 3 guys that came were AWESOME. They had the tank and pipes removed in less than one hour. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Great guys, great job and EXCELLENT clean up. SUPERIOR SERVICE!

I was in a crisis with oil leaking onto my basement floor. I was up all night dumping a buckets back into the top of my tank every two hours. The guy at Tanks-a-lot felt my pain and sensed my anxiety and said they would be there next day. They came the next day, pumped out my old tank which was almost 3/4 full, replaced my tank with a brand new one with all the updated tank trim (filters, vents and gages) Refilled my tank, repiped the vent pipe and fill pipe, replaced the oil line to my burner to bring it up to code and encased it in concrete. They were in and out of my home in less than 1 1/2 hours. They were clean, courteous and efficient and they left the basement spotless. If you ever need your oil tank replaced, ‘These Are Your Guys’. A GREAT job removing an old oil tank from the basement. The crew was awesome: on time, hard workers and completed everything as advertised. The clean up after the removal was very impressive. The price was fair and reasonable for the work involved. I highly recommend calling them for an estimate. The entire process was quick and upfront, no "hidden" charges on the day of removal.

Removed my oil tank quickly and easily. The office was easy to schedule with. They were able to book me within a couple of days. The crew of two showed up on time. They were clean They wore masks. They were courteous and professional. They put down plastic to protect the floors and removed any extraneous pipes and filled in holes. I was very pleased with the office, the crew, and the job well done.

Great service. Called to make an appointment on a Tuesday and got it removed on Friday. Guys did a great job with the removal of the tank and the two fill lines. Guys also took proper safety measures and wore masks as they were inside the basement.

I called Saturday regarding a replacement of 71 year old oil tank (appeared to have a small leak) with approx 235 gallons of oil in it with new tank. Thursday they came out with 3 guys, and they had it down to a science. Pumped my oil into trunk with powerful little pump, removed old oil tank, brought in and set up brand new tank, put my oil back in. It was set up with proper slope. All new pipes for filling/venting which were painted, new line fed directly into furnace, with concrete over it. They moved my work bench out of the way and put it back after. They had proper materials and products to keep basement clean from oil through-out. It was pretty incredible the speed and efficiency at which they worked, whole process was done in about an hr and cost matched the quote exactly. I'm impressed with how hard these guys work, they clearly know exactly what they're doing and work as an efficient team. 1 of 3 guys appeared to have been in a newer learning stage but was trying to help other 2 who were more experienced with problem solving on the go (eg how to organize job's many tasks so no down time for anyone). I feel like it may have prevented a potential issue down the road due to old tank's age. I'm happy with the result and would recommend this company. brand new everything from fill pipe to tank to furnace lines all in about 1 hr, left basement clean, and i got to keep my $700 worth of new oil too. (And to other reviewer lady who commented about owner's voice on phone, he just sounds busy scheduling all jobs as quickly as he can, that's all, i don't think the reviewer shouldve taken it personally.) They were awesome and quick and efficient in removing an oil tank in my basement that I no longer needed. They also filled in the holes where the pipes were and kept everything clean. One of the guys also disposed of a little field mice in the basement for me that I was basically scared of going near. Highly recommend. 🙂
